Team Albright Driving Freedom Tribute Jeep from Maine to Florida

Jan. 27, 2016 By Del Albright

Editor’s Note: Off-road icon and BlueRibbon Coalition Ambassador Del Albright is putting together a Jeep tour in a few months that he and wife Stacie will be taking. The ride is intended to pay tribute to our veterans and help raise awareness for responsible off-road access. More information about the ride can be found below.

This Jeep tour is paying tribute to our veterans who gave us the freedoms we enjoy, like four-wheeling and exploring this great country of ours. We plan to stop at several places to pay tribute to veterans and their families, war memorials and museums. We will also incorporate visits with motorized recreation enthusiasts, associations and clubs (as per your suggestions), to pay tribute to our access to responsible recreation and freedom!

We are proud to be part of the inaugural launch of the Folded Flag Tribute Jeep, which is being built-up right now at Clayton Off Road with the help of some great sponsors like BFGoodrich Tires, Raceline Wheels, Factor 55,WARN, NorthStar Battery, Jeep Tweaks, FOX, Tom Wood's Custom Drive Shafts, Reid Racing, Clayton Off Road, Rugged Ridge, and JcrOffroad. Thanks to the incredible team, Josh and Jen Schwalb, of the The Great American Jeep Rally and Great American Charitable Events.

For the drive, which will be from April 11-18 of this year, we’ll have a little over a week to make the drive and end up in time for Jeep Beach in Daytona Beach, FL, where the JK will be on display as well.  We hope to touch the ocean in all 14 states of the eastern seaboard, and pose the Tribute Jeep at dozens of famous places on the east coast. Of course, our purpose will be to carry our message of land use, responsible recreation and motorized recreation freedom where ever we go -- it's all about access and keeping our trails and riding areas open, and paying respect to the veterans who have given us our freedoms.

PLACES TO STOP: We want your suggestions. Please go over to the Folded Flag Tribute Jeep page and make suggestions as to places to honor veterans, events, war memorial/museums, club events, club/association meetings, or just ideas where we could link up with motorized enthusiasts and spend some quality time talking about the future of our sports. Or just drop an email with your ideas to info@foldedflagjk.org.

For more information, to offers suggestions, or to grab one of the few remaining promotional spots, check out the website for the ride at http://www.foldedflagjk.org/
