I bought my first Jeep--a 1946 CJ2a--from my father-in-law in the early '60s. He and I dropped a Chevy small block into the "Flattie" so long ago, most converters were still using Hudson Hornet steering columns. My wife and I drove that Jeep (equipped with a Rancho overdrive) to Moab and Jackson Hole in May 1968. I became Technical Editor for Four Wheeler magazine in the '70s. Once again, 30 years later, we own two Jeeps; a 1982 CJ7 and a 2007 Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited, both of which you can see on Off-Road.Com.

Pete Bach
Pete has been four wheeling trails throughout the country for over 22 years and has had experience with many different 4x4 vehicles, from Toyota FJ's and pick-ups, to British built Range Rovers. Quickly realizing that Jeeps were his passion, he has gone from a 1948 Willy's Flatfender, to a 4 Door Unlimited Rubicon. Between those two Jeeps were thirteen others of all types. He currently enjoys piloting the Off-road.com Project Jeep JK, his wife's Unlimited Rubicon and the current XJ Cheap Cherokee build project, through his home state of Colorado. If you see him on the trail, make sure to say hello, check out his Jeep Junk and hop a ride in his kick ass Jeep Limo.
