I bought my first Jeep--a 1946 CJ2a--from my father-in-law in the early '60s. He and I dropped a Chevy small block into the "Flattie" so long ago, most converters were still using Hudson Hornet steering columns. My wife and I drove that Jeep (equipped with a Rancho overdrive) to Moab and Jackson Hole in May 1968.
I became Technical Editor for Four Wheeler magazine in the '70s. Once again, 30 years later, we own two Jeeps; a 1982 CJ7 and a 2007 Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited, both of which you can see on Off-Road.Com. |
