Moab, Utah is often referred to as the "Mecca" of four wheeling. It's no wonder with trails rating from 1 to 4+, Moab truly has something for everyone. While trails rated a 1 can be driven in two wheel drive usually, a 4+ trail requires a highly modified vehicle with at least one locking differential, and excellent driving skills. You may recognize names such as "Hell's Revenge Trail", "Golden Spike Trail", or "Pritchett Canyon Trail", as these are three of Moab's most challenging 4+ trails. However, with open differentials, I prefer to stay on milder trails. This trip, I tackled "Steel Bender Trail", "Poison Spider Mesa Trail", and "Lion's Back". Steel Bender and Poison Spider Mesa are both rated at 3 1/2.

Project Rockbuggy gets some inverter capabilities. Although power inverters aren't as popular in the off-roading industries yet, I think we will see them becoming more and more popular in the future. Inverters are a very convenient and effective source of power enabling you to use standard 110V AC power anytime or place, just like you were at home. That means being able to use power tools like drills, saws, coffee makers, etc. while being miles from an electrical outlet. For my application I thought it would make a great valuable, and convenient piece of equipment that I'd use primarily for camping trips and emergency rescue expeditions.

Each year, hundreds of people flock to the Rocky Mountains during the first week of August to attend the Mile-Hi Jeep Club's annual All-4-Fun?this year was no exception. With 325 vehicles, 800 attendees, and 25 sponsors, the 31st annual All-4-Fun was a huge success. This year, the Mile-Hi Jeep Club raised over $4,350 for the Children's Hospital of Denver. For the second time in All-4-Fun history, the event was held in Gunnison, Colorado, a small town located on the western slope of the Rocky Mountains. Gunnison was established in 1874 and is surrounded by some of the most spectacular mountain scenery in the world. Originally inhabited by the Ute Indians, Gunnison has been the home of frontier settlers, mining gold diggers, fearless outlaws, and heroic cowboys.

Typically, the products we review at Off-Road.com enhance our vehicles for off-road use. However, as recent land closures force off-road enthusiasts to travel farther from home to enjoy their hobby, more time is spent driving on the highway. To help pass the monotony of commuting to and from our favorite ORV areas, an upgraded stereo can be the ideal solution.
