Editor's Note: This extensive Jeep specification database for Jeep Vehicles from 1972 to 1999 seems to have first been published in November 1999, right here at www.JeepWeb.com by a diehard Jeep fanatic whose commitment to the Jeep vehicle logged many long hours to share his vast knowledge. To that person, we are grateful.

CJ8 - Shifter came out of T-176 transmission. What is the fix?

Your "Jeep Specification Guide" has an error. 1997 and newer TJ Wrangler Dana 30 axles do not use reverse cut gears, they are standard rotation. XJ Cherokees and '95 and older YJ Wranglers use Reverse Cut but '97 and newer use standard cut (standard rotation) Dana 30 low-pinion axles.
