Yamaha Dirtbike Yamaha produced its first motorcycle in 1955, but its first dual-purpose bike was the DT-1 Enduro that made a big impact on the US market. In 1998, Yamaha introduced the first mass-produced four-stroke dirt bike in the YZ400F. Today, Yamaha offers both two- and four-stroke-powered dirt bikes in its popular YZ line.
