With spring just around the corner and the temperatures starting to rise, Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series returns from its winter slumber to kick off the 2016 season at the Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park in Chandler, Arizona.

A few news racers are entering the series this year, including 2014 SCORE Trophy Truck Champion Steven Eugenio in Pro 2 along with RJ Anderson who’s leaving the Pro Lite ranks behind in 2016. On the podium, however were familiar faces in Pro 2, as Bryce Menzies earned the win at the opening round by holding off Rob MacCachren and Brian Deegan, who finished in second and third, respectively. At Round 2, Carl Renezeder made his return to the top of the podium, as  he held off the same duo of Rob MacCachren and Brian Deegan on Sunday.

Carl Renezeder earned the win in both Pro 2 and Pro 4 at Round 2.

In the Pro 4 class, Rob MacCachren did manage to one up Renezeder with a win in Round 1, with Renezeder finishing in second and Eric Barron rounding out the podium. But Carl Renezeder was simply on fire Sunday, taking the Pro 4 victory at Round 2 ahead or MacCacharen and third-place finisher Greg Adler.

Rob MacCachren had a solid weekend in Pro 2 and Pro 4, combining to record one victory and three second-place finishes.

In the Pro Lite, up-and-coming racer Brandon Arthur made a huge statement over the weekend as he swept both rounds in Arizona, though Jerett Brooks (Round 1) and Ryan Beat (Round 2) did make him earn it each race and finished just behind him in second place. Brad DeBerti had a solid weekend as well, earning the third-place spot in each Pro Lite race at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park.

Eliott Watson took home the first-place hardware at Round 1 this past weekend.

In the Pro Buggy class, Elliot Watson earned the win at the first race after holding off Garrett George and Sterling Cling, who finished in second and third, respectively. During Round 2, Kevin McCullough came out on top, with Darren Hardesty finishing in second and Sterling Cling earning the final podium spot in third.

The Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series returns to action at the end of April at the Lake Elsinore Motorsports Park in Southern California.
