Top 10 Finish for Rock Runner Racing at XRRA Season Finale

Aug. 11, 2008 By Press Release
Cortez, Colorado, August 3, 2008: Rock Runner Racing secured another top 10 finish at the XRRA Western Series season finale in Cortez, Colorado.  Joachim Schwiesow’s 9th place finish in Cortez put him in 8th place for the overall season standings.

“With different winners at each event of the season, it was necessary to be consistent in order to finish high in the overall standings” Schwiesow reflected.  “The Spidertrax axles, Trailready beadlocked rims, and prototype BFGoodrich tires on my Twisted Customs buggy provide me with the reliable parts that it takes to be consistent.”

To further highlight the point, Rock Runner Racing team manager George Wadeson explained that the team used the same vehicle in WE Rock competition just two weeks prior to the XRRA finals.  “All we had to do was change the tires” Wadeson reported.

Approximately 2000 fans travelled to Cortez, Colorado to witness the XRRA Western Series season finale firsthand.  Live webcam and radio updates were provided my Pirate4x4.com, and additional media representing DirtSports magazine, Crawl magazine, and WickedMag.com were also in Cortez to capture the action. Rock Runner Racing’s next stop is the WE Rock Grand Nationals, and then on to the XRRA Finals on September 20th  in Jellico, Tennessee.

With Schweisow’s wife Kim expecting their fourth child at the end of September, it is still unclear if Joachim or one of his talented Rock Runner Racing teammates will be behind the wheel of their Twisted Customs YJ buggy in Jellico.  One thing that is certain though, is that Rock Runner Racing will be a force to be reckoned with in the finals.  For more information on Rock Runner Racing contact team owner George Wadeson at rockrunnerracing@rushmore.com
