Polaris Introduces 2014 ATV and Side-by-Side Lineup

The 2014 Polaris Sportsman 570 will replace the Sportsman 500.

The biggest news in the 2014 Polaris lineup is undoubtedly the new RZR XP 1000 and RZR XP 4 1000, which will now be the horsepower leader in the side-by-side market (read more about the RXR 1000 here). Arguably the next biggest headline for Polaris' 2014 lineup is its new Sportsman 570, which will replace the Sportsman 500 that Polaris hails as best-selling 4x4 ATV of all time.

Keeping the new Sportsman 570 affordable appears important to Polaris, as the new 570 ($6499) is only $300 more than the 2013 Sportsman 500. The new Sportsman 570 gets electronic fuel injection to help steer the 44-horsepower 570. Also featured on the 570 is 6.5 gallons of front storage capacity, newly designed cargo racks (90 pounds of front rack capacity of 180 pounds for the rear0. The Sportsman 570 also has a 1225-pound towing capacity.

Polaris also updated the ergonomics of the 570 with a narrow seat and longer footwells. The independent rear suspension provides 9.5 inches of travel, while front suspension offers up 8.2 inches of travel.

The base Sportsman 570 is available in Indy Red, Sage Green or Polaris Pursuit Camo. But Polaris is also offering a Sportsman 570 with electronic power steering, which is available in Sage Green, Polaris Pursuit Camo and Bright White. Polaris will also offer the Sportsman 570 Touring to accommodate two riders.

2014 Polaris Sportsman XP 850

Premium Sportsman Lineup
On Polaris’ 2014 premium ATV models, such as the Sportsman XP 850 H.O and Sportsman 550, will comes standard equipped with electronic power steering (EPS). Another notable change is that both the Sportsman XP 850 and Sportsman 550 now feature the same suspension geometry found on the Scrambler XP 850 that was introduced last year.

Polaris will offer several limited-edition models for 2014 as well, such as the Sportsman XP 850 H.O. EPS, Sportsman 550 EPS, Scrambler XP 850 H.O. EPS, Sportsman Touring 850 EPS and Sportsman Touring 550 EPS. Also returning for 2014 are the Sportsman 400, Sportsman 800 Big Boss 6x6 800 EFI, Sportsman 800 EFI, Sportsman X2 550 EPS and Scrambler XP 850 H.O.

The Polaris Outlaw 90 will offer younger riders a fun way to enter the sport.

Youth Models
There are a number of Youth vehicles offered by Polaris in 2014, including the RZR 170, Phoenix 200, Sportsman 90, Outlaw 90 and Outlaw 50.

There may be the new RZR 1000 for mom and dad, but the RZR 170 is perfect for the kids.
